EB Recruitment has an opportunity for an experienced AML Assistant to join a growing legal firm in Edinburgh. This newly created role will work alongside a small compliance team and will support the firm’s AML processes and procedures.
Reporting to the firms AML Compliance Manager, this role will involve:
- Support fee earners with client due diligence processes, policies and procedures.
- Regularly liaise with departments to obtain required information.
- Coordinate required correspondence and communications in relation to AML checks.
- Provide advice and guidance to each department obtaining client due diligence checks.
- Responsible for verification checks within the team.
- Review client accounts and fund processes, liaising with the relevant team internally.
- Prepare and review risk assessments of clients and matters as required.
- Assist with AML policies, procedures and controls.
- Collating relevant information for reporting purposes.
- Support the firms AML Compliance Manager with various projects, implementation of new regulations/procedures.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
Skills and experience required:
- AML experience is essential, ideally gained within a Legal firm
PLEASE NOTE: only candidates with AML Compliance experience will be considered for the role
- Experience of Financial Services compliance data protection, Anti-Bribery and Corruption compliance
- Excellent analytical skills with great attention to detail
- Possess excellent communication skills and can build relationships at all levels across the firm
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements and governance framework
- IT proficient
